Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search box is sent to the outside provider that supplies those results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those search entries. If you contact us, we receive the content of the message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services create routine logs that can include an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of access. We use aggregated information to maintain the service and understand general page use. Cookies or comparable tools may also support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
We use the limited data described above to operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the service. We do not sell visitor lists or create profiles of individual visitors.
External Services and Links
Links can take visitors to county and state portals, library collections, Archives resources, or third-party search tools. The privacy rules of those destinations govern information submitted there. That includes sponsored search results furnished by an outside provider.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Providers that host or support the service may process ordinary server-log data for us. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the technical data described above. We disclose information only when required by valid legal process or as otherwise required by law.
Security and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and routine logs are retained only as long as needed for the stated purposes. Because the site has no user accounts, it does not hold an account password or visitor profile.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor sent us information, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Tennessee Privacy Rights
The Tennessee Information Protection Act, or TIPA, became effective July 1, 2025. For covered controllers and circumstances, it provides rights to confirm and access data, correct or delete it, obtain a portable copy, opt out of certain sale, targeted-advertising, and profiling activities, and appeal a controller decision. A covered controller generally has 45 days to respond, subject to statutory extensions and exceptions. Because this service keeps very little data, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant logs. Use the Contact page to make a request. TIPA does not automatically remove independently public government records. Requests about county or state records belong with the relevant custodian under the Tennessee Public Records Act, T.C.A. §§10-7-501 et seq., especially §10-7-503.
